Damar Prayer Day

Huntington Court teamed up with Bella Care Hospice to officially make January 6th, Damar Prayer Day! Even though we live in the heart of the Bengals jungle, this event had us all rooting for Damar Hamlin, his family, the Bills, and the entire NFL.



This event touched us in a very personal way as one of our residents, that is a die-hard Bills fan, was in attendance at this game. Ned spent many years in Buffalo and has since spent several years with us. You'll see Ned more days than not wearing his Buffalo gear! His family bought him tickets for Christmas to see the Bills play live. It upset all of us, but to be there personally and see it unfold is something completely different.

When we planned this Damar Day of Prayer earlier this week, we weren't sure what we were going to be praying for. Would it be a continuation of the prayers we were already sending for a miracle; would it be to comfort his loved ones? We thank the Lord that our prayers for the miracle were already answered. Today, we just had to pray for continued recovery and prayers of gratitude for every emergency rescue personnel and healthcare provider.



This was a very touching afternoon for our residents to be able to feel like they are part of something much bigger and still part of their community. A special thank you goes out to Jim at Bella Care for leading our prayer. May you all experience your own miracles and blessings every day.
