Lisa W. is nothing short of a modern medical miracle. At just 48 years old, she survived a near-fatal battle with a flesh-eating bacteria that led to sepsis, eight surgeries, and a six-week hospital stay. The ordeal left her physically debilitated and completely bed-bound.



Lisa’s road to recovery brought her to The Residence at Huntington Court, where she began an intensive rehabilitation journey with our incredible therapy team. With the help of Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy, Lisa worked to regain her strength and independence—relearning how to walk, swallow, bathe, and manage daily activities most of us take for granted.

Even after two additional surgeries during her stay, Lisa remained determined. She credits the dedicated therapy staff for helping her heal both physically and emotionally, and says she always felt safe, supported, and encouraged. Lisa also praises our nursing team as “the best of the best” for their outstanding care throughout her recovery.

Today, Lisa is returning home to her family—healthy, strong, and independent. We are so proud to have been part of her incredible journey!
